The flush-mount floor vents come with two parts: the inner grill set in and supported by the outer frame.
The sub floor duct work exit opening can vary from 2"x10", 4"x10", to 4"x12".
In some cases, like return air duct intake, couple or more floor vents can be installed side-by-side to accomodate bigger and wider opening.
